Miracles

This week was hard. This week was also a blessing. I am going to tell you this story NOT to talk myself up or draw attention. Its so that you guys can see how this week was. I'm just going to cut to the chase lol.

Saturday after lunch, 1pm, we started our fast. Fasting in general is not the easiest thing in the world, especially working. But we started and then the rest of saturday was one of the hottest days ive seen. With that kind of sun that burns a little bit. ITs like when we get in the hot car after church before the air kicks in and we all yell a little bit. Thats brasil. We were suffering quite a bit when we got home, but I trust that the Lord strengthened us. I prayed and really visited with my Father in Heaven and felt spiritually edified and sunday morning we went to church. During the second hour, I started feeling really sick. I became really week and decided it was better for my health to finish my fast and drink water before i passed out. (Dont worry, it wasnt serious). I finished and found the first little classroom i could to sit for a few. The first irmã from the ward that i saw was Wanderlecy. I, embarrassed, asked if she had a mint or something to raise my blood sugar. She pulled out crackers and gave them to me and took really good care of me. She told me she could be my mom for the day lol. She started to laugh and told me that last night she took all of the food out of her bag because she want going to go to church with any of her grandkids. Something told her loud and clear, ´´Bring them.´´ and she immediately listened without knowing why and I felt so grateful that she listened to the Spirit. She was my miracle this week. I recovered quickly and prayed thanking the Lord. He has prompted me that morning to bring something to munch on during the afternoon and i ignored it. I'm thankful that Heavenly Father blessed me even in my ignorance and disobedience to his spiritual prompting.
Miracles are real. If we will hear the Spirit and act, we will be His Hands here on earth.

Lots of other great things from this week that i would love to tell you but i cant type fast enough. Enjoy some pictures. LOVE YOU GUYS!

Happy 2017!

We were walking up this GIANT hill to arrive in our favorite neighborhood and we saw people carrying a lot of heavy stuff and we stopped and offered to help. Karina, 22, immediately accepted and asked me if we were from a church. I told her that we were missionaries. She said, I want you to talk to me about God today. I'm sad. I told her we would leave her a message about God and a prayer and when we got to their very humble home, we did just that. She felt the Spirit and she went to church this sunday. I'm grateful for the unplanned opportunities to serve and share the gospel.

This week we worked really hard and hit a lot of our goals and that makes me happy.

I cant believe its 2017!
Lets make ourselves better this year!
Lets focus on Jesus Christ and learn more about Him.

Love you!

Waterfalls!

The waterfalls were amazing!!!
This week was super busy but it was wonderful too!!

Our investigator José is progressing so well. He wants so badly to be baptized and quit smoking and we marked his baptism for this friday. Please pray for him to be able to quit smoking. He is amazing.

Also, a member introduced us to his friend, Ruben. He is progressing so well and is going to church every sunday now. We taught him about the Book of Mormon and he said, ´´Wow! that makes so much sense. I have always thought that Christ would preach His gospel in the whole world, not just in Jerusalem.´´ He is gaining a really strong testimony.

I love being a missionary. Its hard but also absolutely wonderful.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Surprise!

Ok- so I know ive been promising lots of updates for a few weeks but this week is super busy again. Our apartment has a big problem and all of the dirty water from our apartment block is rising in our kitchen and our house flooded. So we caught a taxi and are sleeping at the apartment of other sisters. Such a blessing lol. Dont worry, we are fine and we will all laugh about it much much later :)

I am currently in Foz de Iguaçu. We traveled all night on a bus, me and my companion, and are going on splits this week as Sister Training leaders. The surprise is that our president authorized me and my companion to go to the famous waterfalls today because it is pday and im freaking out im so excited! I will send pictures and postcards next week.

We found a man this week who almost was baptized with other sisters but is having trouble quitting to smoke, and we found him by some miracle and are starting to teach him and help him come back again. Huge miracle.

This week was definitely not easy, but I feel the Lord blessing us and protecting us. So many more things could have gone wrong and when my companion and I started to count our blessings during our hard times, everything became much easier.

I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I know that He lives. I know that when we pray, Heavenly Father hears us.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Please forgive me for not responding individually. SKype is coming up! It will be 1 hour and a half this year!

Another Busy Week

We had a mission tour with Elder and Sister Bassett and were so spiritually filled.

One thing I loved that Sister Bassett said was that we need to see ourselves in the Joseph Smith story. We all have or had the same doubts that he had. If we will see things from his perspective and ask God if these things are true, we will feel the truth of them through the Spirit.
The fact that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God is clear to me. I dont have doubts about that.
but if you do, ask God. He always sees us.
Quebec is my new area and I am loving it. Here are a few photos from this week.
Love you!
